Glass radiator/lamp ~ art deco ~ model radiaver ~
OverzichtThis radiator was designed as part of the glass pavilion of the Saint-Gobain company at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1937.
Design by french architect René Coulon.
Etched wiring between two sheets of glass generates heat. The lamp placed in the base creates a light through the glass. The Radiaver is represented in several museum collections, including the Centre Pompidou in France and the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, New York.
This particular one is rewired and has a working light in the glass base.
The radiator function is disabled.
